Ranbir Kapoor’s sense of humor has often landed him in trouble, but this time, his revelation about a past “marriage” is more amusing than controversial. The actor, known for his witty remarks, recently shared a bizarre fan experience that left everyone entertained.
During a chat with Mashable India, Ranbir recounted an incident from his early years in Bollywood. He revealed that a fan, whom he had never met, arrived at his residence with a priest and conducted a wedding ceremony—with his house gate! “I wouldn’t call it crazy in a negative way, but my watchman once told me that a girl came with a pandit and married my gate,” he shared, adding a humorous spin to the story.
Ranbir further elaborated that when he returned home, he noticed tika marks and flowers on the gate, indicating a proper ritual had taken place. He jokingly remarked, “I haven’t yet met my first wife, so I look forward to meeting you at some point.” While this doesn’t make the fan his actual wife, his lighthearted take on the incident turned what could have been an unsettling experience into a funny anecdote.
Of course, in reality, Ranbir’s first and only wife is Alia Bhatt. The couple tied the knot in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai residence, surrounded by close family and friends. As they approach their third wedding anniversary, their relationship remains a favorite among fans.
Ranbir’s latest revelation showcases his ability to handle even the strangest fan encounters with humor. While some actors might find such incidents unsettling, he took it in stride, proving why he continues to be one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars.
