BOLLYWOOD actor Alia Bhatt will once again serve as the goodwill ambassador for the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF) in 2024.
The actor, known for her environmental advocacy, expressed enthusiasm about her continued association with the event and its mission.
Bhatt’s production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, is also collaborating with the festival for its 2024 edition.
About the partnership, the actor said: “This festival is truly special—it celebrates films that uplift and showcase nature’s resilience while reminding us of the importance of protecting our planet. Through powerful storytelling, ALT EFF allows us to see and feel the real impact of environmental change.”
The festival will feature over 100 screenings across India, along with workshops and panel discussions focused on pressing environmental challenges. The initiative aims to foster global dialogue and inspire action through impactful storytelling.
Filmmaker Richie Mehta, who recently directed the series Poacher, produced by Bhatt’s company, will also serve as a champion of the festival’s goals. ALT EFF’s Festival Director, Kunal Khanna, commended Bhatt for her dedication, stating: “Her creative endeavours through Eternal Sunshine exemplify the transformative power of storytelling in addressing pressing global challenges.”
Khanna added that Bhatt and Mehta’s involvement positions the festival to amplify the voices of filmmakers advocating for environmental action.
