BOLLYWOOD stars Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan have shared their enthusiasm for collaborating again, possibly for a sequel to their 1997 hit romantic comedy “Ishq”, directed by Indra Kumar.

The two actors, both prominent figures in the industry, attended the mahurat launch of the upcoming film “Tera Yaar Hoon Main” on Saturday evening. The event also marked the acting debut of Indra Kumar’s son, Aman.

“I feel very happy whenever I meet Ajay. We don’t meet that often but whenever we do meet it’s with a lot of warmth and love, I like the guy he is,” Khan remarked during the event.

Devgn, who worked with Khan in Ishq, reflected fondly on their time together. “We had so much fun on the sets of ‘Ishq’, we should do another one,” he said, referencing the 1997 comedy directed by Indra Kumar, which also starred Kajol and Juhi Chawla.

To this, Khan responded, “Yes, we should.” Indra Kumar, present at the event, acknowledged the suggestion and said he would now explore the possibility of a sequel.

“Now that Ajay and Aamir both have said they want to work together on ‘Ishq 2’, I’m going to speak to them again in detail about this. We should make the second part but not until we have the right script for it,” the filmmaker said.

Khan also recalled an incident on the set of Ishq when a chimpanzee attacked him during a scene. “A chimpanzee attacked me once during a sequence in the film. He saved me and pulled me out,” Khan said.

Devgn added with humor, “But it happened all because of Aamir. He was spraying water on the chimpanzee and then ran around, shouting ‘bachao bachao’ like a girl.”

At the event, both Devgn and Khan wished Aman success for his debut film “Tera Yaar Hoon Main”, directed by Milap Milan Zaveri.

Several notable industry figures attended the mahurat, including veteran actress Aruna Irani and filmmakers such as Boney Kapoor and Rajkumar Santoshi.

Aman expressed his gratitude for the support he received. “I never thought my career would be launched by two of my greatest idols, my superheroes and superstars of this country, Ajay sir and Aamir sir. This is the biggest honour a newcomer has ever received, and I’m so grateful for it,” he said.

The film also stars Paresh Rawal and Akanksha Sharma. Many industry celebrities, including Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Bobby Deol, Genelia D’Souza, and Riteish Deshmukh, sent their best wishes to Aman through audio-visual messages.
