AMID rumours that all is not well between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a recent social media post about Abhishek’s sister Shweta Bachchan sending a bouquet to Aishwarya has surprised the internet.
A bouquet sent by Shweta and her husband, Nikhil Nanda, was shared by Aishwarya’s sister-in-law, Shrima Rai, on Instagram, raising questions about the gesture’s intent.
The screenshot of Shrima’s Instagram story, later posted on the Reddit sub BollyBlindsNGossip, elicited a range of reactions from users. While some speculated about the state of Abhishek and Aishwarya’s relationship, others dismissed it as routine family interactions.
The divorce rumors initially gained momentum after Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya arrived separately at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in July, rather than accompanying the Bachchan family. The speculation grew when Abhishek liked an Instagram post discussing the challenges of love.
Amid the public chatter, Abhishek’s name was also linked to his “Dasvi” co-star Nimrat Kaur, though neither the family nor the individuals involved have commented on the matter.

Separately, Amitabh Bachchan addressed the broader issue of misinformation in a recent blog post. Without directly referencing the rumours, he wrote, “Speculations are speculated untruths without verifications.”
He further criticized the ethical implications of unverified information, stating, “Fill the World with untruth or questioned untruth and your job is over.”
Amitabh also emphasised the importance of maintaining family privacy, remarking that he avoids discussing personal matters publicly to uphold boundaries.
