Virat Kohli continues to dominate the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, thrilling fans with his outstanding performances for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The right-hander has already amassed 392 runs from nine matches and is firmly in the race for the Orange Cap.
However, despite his on-field brilliance, Kohli is currently making headlines for another reason — the strong speculation about him and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, planning to relocate to London.
The rumors about the couple’s move intensified following the birth of their second child, Akaay, in February 2024. Since then, Virat and Anushka have been frequently spotted in London, sparking discussions among fans and media. Recently, Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, confirmed the development, stating that the cricketer is preparing to shift his base to London permanently.

Speaking to Dainik Jagran, Rajkumar Sharma said, “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket.”
Adding to the buzz, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr. Sriram Nene, also spoke about the couple’s intentions during a chat with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Dr. Nene, who runs a popular health and wellness YouTube channel, praised Virat and Anushka for their grounded nature.
“I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve met him multiple times; he’s just a decent human being,” Dr. Nene said. Sharing insights from a personal conversation, he added, “We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting. They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here. Anything they do attracts attention. We appreciate what they go through. Anushka and Virat are lovely people, and they just want to raise their kids normally.”
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Italy in 2017, have consistently maintained a low profile when it comes to their personal life. Their daughter Vamika was born in January 2021, and their son Akaay arrived in February 2024.
The overwhelming attention they receive in India appears to be a major factor behind their decision to consider settling abroad. In London, the couple hopes to provide a relatively normal upbringing for their children, away from the constant media glare.
On the professional front, Virat Kohli remains a key player for RCB, who are currently third on the IPL 2025 points table with 12 points from nine matches. Kohli’s stellar run includes five half-centuries, and he will look to extend his form when RCB face Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, April 27.
As speculation continues, fans are eager to see how this big move will shape the next chapter in the lives of India’s beloved power couple.
