Aamir Khan, often referred to as “Mr. Perfectionist” of Bollywood, was recently honoured at the prestigious Macau Comedy Festival in China, in recognition of his unparalleled popularity in the country. What made headlines just as much as the award itself was the presence of his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, who accompanied the superstar to the event. The couple’s appearance together marked a rare public outing, and Gauri’s elegant traditional Indian attire added to the spotlight on them.

The Macau Comedy Festival’s closing ceremony is set to feature a special panel discussion titled Laughter is the Best Medicine, where Aamir Khan will join Shen Teng and Ma Li to discuss the societal role of comedy and its cultural evolution. This panel is expected to explore comedy’s universal language and the ability to transcend national and linguistic boundaries—a theme reflected in Aamir’s own cinematic journey in China.
Aamir Khan has developed a massive fanbase in China over the last decade. His films, especially 3 Idiots and Dangal, resonated deeply with Chinese audiences for their emotional storytelling, educational themes, and social relevance.
