Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming action thriller Sikandar, recently addressed the ongoing death threats he has been receiving from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. During a special press conference ahead of the film’s release, the actor broke his silence on the matter and shared that he has left everything to fate, acknowledging that his life span is already determined.

Speaking about the threats and the 2024 open fire incident at his Bandra apartment, Salman stated, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.” The actor hinted at the added security measures in place for his protection but seemed unfazed by the constant dangers looming over him.

The threats against Salman stem from the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, where he and his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam were accused of hunting a Blackbuck in the Jodhpur forests while shooting Hum Saath-Saath Hain. The Bishnoi community, which reveres the Blackbuck as sacred, has since harbored resentment toward the actor. Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang have repeatedly issued threats, vowing to take revenge.

Last year, in April 2024, two men on a motorcycle opened fire at Salman’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra. The assailants were later arrested, and investigations revealed that the attack was orchestrated by Lawrence Bishnoi’s younger brother, Amnol Bishnoi. The incident heightened security concerns for the actor, prompting law enforcement to tighten his security.

Adding to the Bishnoi gang’s notoriety, former Maharashtra Cabinet minister Baba Siddique was assassinated in October 2024, with the gang claiming responsibility. Their justification for the killing was Siddique’s close ties with Salman. These developments have only intensified concerns surrounding the actor’s safety.

Despite these looming threats, Salman continues his professional commitments, gearing up for the release of Sikandar. Directed by A. R. Murugadoss, the action-packed film features National Crush Rashmika Mandanna alongside the Bollywood megastar. As always, the actor is set to make a grand return to cinemas this Eid, promising audiences an electrifying performance.

Even as legal and security battles persist, Salman remains steadfast in his work, refusing to let fear dictate his life. His resilience has garnered immense support from fans, colleagues, and industry insiders, all of whom continue to pray for his well-being.
