Megastar Chiranjeevi recently took to social media to express his disapproval after learning that some organizers were charging fans to meet him in the UK. The veteran actor, who was in the country to receive a prestigious Lifetime Achievement award at the House of Commons, made it clear that he does not support any such commercialization of fan interactions.

The controversy erupted when reports surfaced that certain event organizers were attempting to collect money in Chiranjeevi’s name for arranging fan meets. Addressing the issue on X (formerly Twitter), the actor expressed his gratitude for his fans’ love but strongly condemned the act of charging money for meetings.

“My Dear Fans, I am deeply touched by all your love and affection in wanting to meet me in the UK. However, I’ve been informed that some individuals are attempting to charge a fee for the fan meetings. I strongly condemn this behavior,” he wrote.

Chiranjeevi assured fans that any money already collected would be refunded and urged them to stay cautious of such individuals. “Any fee collected by anyone will be refunded immediately. Please be cautious and know that I will NEVER support these actions, anywhere. The bond of love and affection we share is priceless. It cannot be commercialized by anyone in any manner. Let’s keep our interactions genuine and free from any kind of exploitation.”

A video of Chiranjeevi addressing fans at a meet in the UK also went viral, where he reiterated his stance. He stated, “No one can monetize our love for each other. No one has the right to do that, and I condemn whatever has happened. I thank everyone for supporting me.”

Fans praised Chiranjeevi’s statement, applauding him for taking a firm stand against such unethical practices. Many took to social media to express their admiration for the actor’s commitment to his supporters, emphasizing that genuine fan interactions should not come with a price tag.

On the professional front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in Bhola Shankar (2023), alongside Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia. While the film did not fare well at the box office, he also starred in Waltair Veerayya the same year, which was a commercial success, co-starring Shruti Haasan and Ravi Teja.

Looking ahead, the megastar is set to feature in Vishwambhara, a socio-fantasy film directed by Vassishta, which was initially slated for a Sankranthi release. Additionally, he has also signed a project with director Srikanth Odela, raising anticipation among fans for his upcoming ventures.

Chiranjeevi’s response serves as a strong warning against those looking to exploit his fanbase for personal gain. His stance reflects his deep respect for his admirers, ensuring that his bond with them remains based on genuine love and not financial transactions.

With his unwavering principles and an exciting lineup of films, Chiranjeevi continues to command respect both on and off the screen.
