Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed his relationship with Gauri Spratt, marking the first time he has publicly spoken about his new partner. During an informal media interaction on Thursday, ahead of his 60th birthday, the actor introduced Spratt and shared details about their journey together.
“I thought it would be a nice occasion for you all to meet her. Besides, we won’t have to keep hiding anymore. She met Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan last night,” Aamir revealed.
Gauri Spratt, who hails from Bengaluru, has known Aamir for 25 years, but their romantic connection developed only in the past year and a half. “She happened to be in Mumbai, and we met accidentally. We kept in touch, and then it all happened organically,” he added.

Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira Khan. In 2005, he tied the knot with Kiran Rao, but the couple announced their separation in 2021. Despite parting ways, Aamir and Kiran continue to co-parent their son, Azad, and maintain a strong friendship.
Reflecting on his past relationships, Aamir shared: “I’ve been fortunate to be in strong relationships. Reena and I spent 16 years together, then Kiran and I spent 16 years together. In many ways, we are still together. I’ve learned so much, and it has been very enriching. With Gauri, I feel settled.”
Spratt, who has a six-year-old son, also spoke briefly at the event, saying that she was looking for someone who is gentle and intelligent, and is happy to have found those qualities in Aamir.
“She is now working with my production house,” Aamir confirmed.
When asked about marriage, Aamir humorously responded, “I don’t know if shaadi shobha deti hai mujhe at the age of 60. My kids are very happy, and I feel very fortunate to have great relationships with my ex-wives.”
During the event, Aamir also sang the iconic song Kabhi Kabhie Mere Dil Mein while holding Spratt’s hands, delighting those in attendance.
On the work front, Aamir Khan is gearing up for his next film, Sitaare Zameen Par, a thematic sequel to his 2007 blockbuster Taare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is set for a June release.
“While Taare Zameen Par focused on a special child struggling, this time, 10 special individuals are the protagonists, and I play the antagonist,” Aamir explained.
In addition, he is also producing Lahore 1947, helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. Aamir revealed that Javed Akhtar has seen the first cut and believes the film will perform well at the box office.
