Ibrahim Ali Khan is set to make his much-anticipated Bollywood debut alongside Khushi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s upcoming film Nadaaniyan. The first poster of the film was unveiled by Netflix on Saturday morning, confirming that the romantic drama will be released directly on the streaming platform. Directed by Shauna Gautam, who previously worked as an assistant director on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the film is being produced under Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment banner.

The poster showcases Ibrahim and Khushi sitting on a lush green field in a cozy semi-embrace, both dressed casually and looking directly into the camera. The poster’s release follows Karan Johar’s recent announcement that he would be launching Ibrahim under his production house. Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor had subtly teased her involvement in the film by posting a cryptic Instagram photo on Friday, hinting at a mystery co-star, now revealed to be Ibrahim.

Netflix released a statement describing Nadaaniyan as a young adult romance that beautifully captures the innocence and thrill of first love. The synopsis reads:

“There’s nothing quite like the exhilaration and unforgettable experience of falling in love for the first time. Netflix is excited to announce Nadaaniyan, a young adult romantic drama that captures the magic, madness, and innocence of first love. At its heart are Piya, a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi, and Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida. As their two completely different worlds collide, they embark on a journey filled with mischief, heart, and the sweet messiness of first love.”

The film also features a stellar supporting cast, including Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. The project is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, ensuring a strong backing from Bollywood’s top production house.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is the younger brother of actress Sara Ali Khan. Unlike his sister, who made her debut with Kedarnath, Ibrahim initially worked behind the scenes before stepping into the spotlight. In 2023, he served as an assistant director on Dharma Productions’ Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, gaining valuable experience before transitioning to acting.

Following Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim will be seen in Sarzameen, directed by Kayoze Irani. The film, which features Kajol in a prominent role, marks his second big-screen project.

With its fresh pairing of Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, Nadaaniyan is already generating buzz among Bollywood fans. The film’s youthful romance, coupled with its vibrant narrative, promises to bring an engaging love story to Netflix audiences. As Karan Johar continues to introduce new talent through his productions, all eyes will be on Ibrahim and Khushi to see how they shine in their debut roles.
