SHAHID KAPOOR-starrer “Deva” hit theatres across India on Friday and earned ₹ 5.78 crore nett at the domestic box office on its opening day, according to Zee Studios.
The film is produced by Roy Kapur Films in association with Zee Studios.
Zee Studios announced the earnings on Instagram, stating, “Bhasad toh abhi shuru huyi hai! #Deva in cinemas now, book your tickets,” along with a banner highlighting the collection figures.
Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, “Deva” is an action thriller featuring Kapoor as a skilled but rebellious police officer.
Pooja Hegde plays a journalist, while Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait also have key roles.
Andrrews, who has previously directed Malayalam films “Udayananu Tharam”, “Salute” and “Kayamkulam Kochunni”, helmed the project.
