IT SERVICES major Infosys on Thursday reported an 11.46 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹68.06 billion (£644.04m) in the October-December quarter of FY25.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company had posted a profit of ₹61.06 billion (£577.80m) in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Revenue from operations for the quarter under review came in at ₹417.64 billion (£3.95bn), 7.58 per cent higher than ₹388.21 billion (£3.67bn) in the third quarter of FY24, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company added 5,591 employees during the quarter, bringing the total headcount to 323,379.
Regarding the latest results, Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh said it is a “clear reflection of the success of our differentiated digital offerings, market positioning, and key strategic initiatives.”
The company recently announced that it has deferred annual wage hikes to the fourth quarter of the current financial year.
Infosys had last implemented salary hikes in November 2023. (PTI)
