CINEMA icon Sharmila Tagore is set to return to the big screen with “Outhouse”, a heartwarming movie that will be released in theatres on December 20.

Veteran actor Mohan Agashe co-stars in the movie alongside Tagore, who was most recently seen in the Disney+Hotstar movie “Gulmohar“.

Also produced by Agashe, “Outhouse” is a story that explores unexpected companionship, intergenerational connections, and the transformative power of trust and empathy.

Directed by Sunil Sukthankar, the film’s cast includes actors Sonali Kulkarni, Neeraj Kabi, and Sunil Abhayankar as well.

“‘Outhouse’ is a wholesome family entertainer that promises some wonderful, heartfelt moments that will brighten up your festive season. It is a story that reminds us how even the smallest encounters can lead to the biggest transformations.

“It was a joy working with Sharmila Tagore, Sonali Kulkarni, Neeraj Kabi and Sunil Abhayankar who have helped in bringing this emotional journey to life,” Agashe said in a statement.

Tagore’s most recent film was family drama “Gulmohar”, which was named the Best Hindi Film at the 70th National Film Awards recently. The Rahul V Chittella-directed movie also featured Manoj Bajpayee, Simran and Suraj Sharma.

Before “Gulmohar”, Tagore, 79, was seen in the 2010 movie “Break Ke Baad” with Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan.
