Chaos unfolded at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on Sunday as crowds surged during the promotional event for “Pushpa 2: The Rule”, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.

A section of the audience breached barricades and threw slippers and shoes when they were unable to get closer to the stars.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajeev Mishra denied reports of a police lathi charge, stating, “Only a group of people who had come to watch the event and tried to cross the barricade were removed. An adequate number of security personnel have been deployed at Gandhi Maidan.”

The event, which also featured the release of the film’s trailer, attracted massive crowds, causing a stampede-like situation before it officially began. Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh assured the public that the situation was under control.
