BOLLYWOOD actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have named their newborn daughter Dua Padukone Singh.
The couple, who welcomed their first child in September, made the announcement on Instagram on Friday, along with a photo showing their daughter’s feet.
The caption accompanying the photo provided insight into their choice, explaining that “Dua” means prayer. The couple wrote, “Dua Padukone Singh. ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer.”
This marks the first public image of the child, who was born on September 8.
Deepika and Ranveer, who married in 2018, announced their pregnancy in February.
Known for their on-screen chemistry, the couple first starred together in “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” and later appeared in “Bajirao Mastani” and “Padmaavat”.
Most recently, they were featured in “Singham Again” alongside Ajay Devgn.
