Diljit Dosanjh urges fans to ‘dream big’ at Delhi concert

In a message of unity, the Punjabi singer stated, “Be it white, Black, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, we are all the same. Wherever I go, I want to carry this teaching with me.”

PUNJABI Diljit Dosanjh addressed a large crowd with the message “dream big” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday.

Around 40,000 fans gathered for the second show of his “Dil-Luminati India Tour,” where Dosanjh performed hits such as “5 Taara,” “Do You Know,” “GOAT,” and “Patiala Peg” in a two-hour set.

The concert, organised by Saregama Live and Ripple Effect Studio, started at 7:44 pm with Dosanjh appearing in a white dhoti-kurta and turban, kicking off with the song “Born to Shine.”

Addressing the crowd, he encouraged, “Dream as big as possible. We were born to fulfill our dreams. If I can do it, you can too.”

Throughout the evening, Dosanjh invited a family dressed like him on stage during his song “GOAT” and shared his appreciation for the Delhi Police, mentioning a desire for a third show in the city.

In a message of unity, he stated, “Be it white, Black, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, we are all the same. Wherever I go, I want to carry this teaching with me.”

Fans, from young children to elderly attendees, travelled from across the region to witness the concert.

Among them was 69-year-old Amreek Singh Sandhu, who patiently waited with his family, saying, “I am really fond of Diljit and his art. He is doing a great job.”

Saregama’s Managing Director, Vikram Mehra, remarked on the experience of working with Dosanjh, stating, “The performance in Delhi was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the magic of Diljit Dosanjh.”

Dosanjh’s India tour follows his shows in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and he is set to perform in cities including Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, culminating in Guwahati on December 29.
