THE TRAILER of Alia Bhatt’s forthcoming film “Jigra” is drawing rave reviews and even ace director Sujoy Ghosh has lauded the actor’s performance.
Sujoy gave a shoutout to Alia on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. He wrote, “You saw the Jigra trailer? Feels so good to exist in the times of Alia Bhatt.”
The makers unveiled the trailer of the film on September 26, and the film will be hitting the theatres on October 11.
Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra also features Vedang Raina, of The Archies fame, who plays Alia’s brother.
While Alia plays Satya, Vedang portrays the role of Ankur, who gets imprisoned in a foreign land.
Satya devises a plan to get her brother out of prison and leaves no stone unturned to ensure his freedom.
Jigra is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Marijke de Souza. The film is also co-produced by Alia Bhatt and her sister Shaheen Bhatt.
